Planning Your Garden Party

If you're planning the perfect garden party, you're in good company. Oprah loves a good garden party. The fancier the better! So how does one throw a garden party, anyway?
Venue
First, of course, you need a garden. Oprah borrowed a friend's, and you can too, if you don't have a garden or feel like your friend's would work better. Make sure you have ample seating and a good food staging area. Real table cloths always amp up the ambiance.
Don't forget a centerpiece! Martha Stewart has some amazing ideas, including floating flowers and candles among many others. String lights, whether something unusual or simple white twinkle lights, add a touch of whimsy and delight.
Another idea is to put up a banner. At Sweet Wrappings, you can get a custom banner specially made just for the occasion.
Food
Oprah's menu had foods like Panini with prosciutto and asparagus, lavender lemonade, and strawberry and peach tartlets. Getting fancy is part of the fun! Some other food ideas from Martha Stewart include cucumber gin fizzes, a cheese tray with unusual cheeses and a variety of crackers, and goat cheese stuffed tomatoes. Yummy!
The Party Favor
Want a sweet idea? A personalized party favor can cap off your garden party beautifully. A Sweet Wrappings chocolate bar caps off your elegant party with your choice of image. A french swirl of color, a floral design, or even a picture of your garden can be used to send your guests off with a smile.
