5 Ways to Design a Chocolate Wedding Favor Based on Traditional Love Tokens

A chocolate wedding favor based on traditional love tokens will add even more meaning to your special day. Share the symbolic language of love with each other and your guests.
For centuries, courting couples exchanged personalized gifts before their marriage. The custom was especially popular in rural areas. Lovers would make their tokens themselves or hire an expert craftsman to express their sentiments. These are a few ideas that would be delightful to borrow for custom chocolate bar wrappers that you can use as wedding favors:
Household Goods: Today your spouse might be disappointed if you gave them a vacuum cleaner for Valentine’s Day. However, back around the seventeenth century, it was common to give each other useful household items that would be stored away as keepsakes after the couple married. Try decorating your chocolate bars with pictures of brooms or rolling pins to celebrate setting up home together.

Soul Symbols: One poetic motif looked like a comma which represented the Egyptian symbol for nostrils. It embodied the idea that the couple was being joined for life and until their breath ceased. You could put a stylized drawing on the front of your wrapper and a brief explanation of the legend on the back.
Love Spoons: Wooden spoons with carved handles were a mostly Welsh practice. Whatever your nationality, they would be a pretty image for a candy wrapper.
Hearts: The simplicity and clarity of heart designs made them as popular back then as they are now. You won’t need any explanation for your favors.
Other Motifs: There’s still more to choose from. Consider keys and chains or shepherds and shepherdesses. If you like animals, go with birds, dogs or lambs. Knots, bands, ribbons and joined hands are also charming.

Offbeat Candy Wrapper Party Favors for Saint Patrick's Day

This Saint Patrick’s Day you can say “Erin Go Bragh” with offbeat candy wrapper party favors. Whether you believe in “Ireland Forever” or just like drinking beer, check out this interesting trivia and fun ideas for your party.
Designing Your Wrappers: If you’re tired of leprechauns, a quick look at St. Patrick's life will suggests many more unusual ideas. Write a headline that wishes people a “Happy Maewyn Succat Day..” That’s Saint Patrick's given name. It’s pronounced something like MY-win SUK-kat. If you think that’s surprisingly simple for a Gaelic name, that’s because it’s not Gaelic. He was actually born in England.
While you’re at it you can drop in a few other names including Saint Brigid and Columba who are also patron saints of Ireland. There’s also Palladius, the first bishop to Irish Christians. Many historians believe that stories about the two men have gotten blended together over the years.

There are also plenty of Irish blessings perfect for sharing on your chocolates. Greet your guests with a cheery saying like “May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light” or “May you have love that never ends, lots of money, and lots of friends.”
Presenting Your Favors: Put your chocolates in a green bowl or a black kettle like the leprechaun’s pot of gold. Lay them out on a piece of green fabric or cardboard cut into a shamrock.
Other Party Ideas: Enjoy the usual traditions. Wear green clothing and drink good beer. Sing Danny Boy and When Irish Eyes are Smiling. Serve glazed corned beef, cabbage rolls and soda bread. And, most of all, eat your chocolate.
Wrap your message around a delicious candy bar this St Patrick’s Day. Contact us to see how easy it is to get personalized chocolate bar wrappers for your party.

Celebrate March 2014 Holidays with Promotional Candy Wrappers

It doesn’t matter whether you are a PTA member, grandparent, alumni member, student or a business owner. March 2014 is a perfect time to invest in promotional candy wrappers and celebrate a great event or two. For example, here’s a look at six that are perfect for those involved with education:
Expanding Girls’ Horizons in Science & Engineering
One event that you may want to celebrate with promotional candy wrappers is Expanding Girls’ Horizons in Science & Engineering Month. We’d suggest using the wrappers as part of a rewards program for students who excel in those subjects. However, you could also very easily use them to raise funds for a science fair, lecture series or trips to science museums.
Music in Our Schools/Sing with Your Child Month
Two additional holidays that you may want to celebrate together with promotional candy wrappers are Music in Our Schools Month and Sing with Your Child Month. Both naturally lend themselves to fund raising activities, giveaways and special events. The candy could also be used as part of a community outreach program designed to highlight the importance of both music and hearing on a child’s development

Youth Art Month
Music, singing, science and engineering are not the only subjects being celebrated in March. It also happens to be Youth Art Month. So you could challenge the children to create promotional candy wrappers to promote art education. If you don’t want to host a candy wrapper design contest, you could host a youth art show instead. The customized candies could then be used as show invitations, snack bar fare, fundraising tools, prizes or giveaways.
National Cheerleading Safety Month
National Cheerleading Safety Month is another holiday that will be taking place. Thus, you may want to use promotional candy wrappers to help the students obtain cheerleading uniforms, participate in out-of-state cheerleading competitions or attend lectures featuring cheerleading safety experts.
National Athletic Training Month
Last on our March 2014 list is National Athletic Training Month. It’s a holiday that is traditionally used to highlight the work of personal trainers. However, it could also be incorporated into activities designed to promote gyms, gym teachers, coaches, exercise equipment and other health services.
To uncover the best promotional candy wrappers for any one of the above mentioned March 2014 holidays, please contact us at (800) 449-3948. At Sweet Wrappings, we have the experience and supplies needed to make your March promotions sizzle.

Celebrate National Consumer Protection Week with Candy Wrappers

National Consumer Protection Week will be here before you know it. So we wanted to share a unique way to celebrate the consumer focused holiday. It all starts with an understanding of the 5 Cent Candy Bar Wars and personalized candy wrappers.
For those readers who’ve never heard of the 5 Cent Candy Bar Wars, allow us to elaborate. It was a unique, 1940s protest movement started by a Canadian teen. His name was Parker Williams. He kicked off the movement in response to what he felt was price gouging on the part of candy merchants operating in his hometown of Ladysmith. The movement, which urged consumers not to buy the merchants’ overinflated sweets, quickly caught on and spread throughout Canada. At the time, it even made the national news. The only thing that stopped it from being completely successful was adult Cold War politics.

Although the kids were not able to win the war, their bittersweet battle is a great example of how even the youngest of consumers can band together and make their strong opinions known. So why not celebrate that fact, and their age-old efforts, with personalized candy wrappers? The candy wrappers could be decorated with references to the war or the documentary film that was made about it in later years. If anything, mention of the 5 Cent Candy Bar Wars would at least spark a spirited conversation among chocolate bar recipients. If you don’t want to reference that historical moment, you could always decorate the candy wrappers with information about the National Consumer Protection Agency or some of the agency’s shopping tips instead. Many people may appreciate them.
Other decorative options that may work for this particular candy wrapper promotion are graphics of shoppers, cash registers, money and corporate logos. To learn more about which designs are available and how to create your own National Consumer Protection Week candy wrappers, please contact us.

Candy Wrapper Invitations Beat Electronic Invites for a Children's Birthday Party

Electronic invites sound so easy for a children’s birthday party, but candy wrapper invitations have the clear edge. See how they’ll cut down on your work and expenses while helping your child to get more out of the experience.
With physical invitations, your child gets to participate more in the creative process and can even learn valuable etiquette and character lessons. Ask your little one to help write or decorate the invitations. When it comes to handing them out, talk about why it’s important to treat people well. In general, it’s usually okay to follow the law of age plus one so you wind up with a manageable number of guests.
On the other hand, if you’re going to invite almost the whole class, it’s better to go the extra yard and not leave anyone out. Whatever you do, explain to your child why you can’t hand out invitations in front of people you’re not inviting. You may want to give them out individually or organize a play date when you can share them.

Candy wrapper invitations are especially great because they’re low cost. You’ll save money and may help start a trend to curb excessive spending for the whole neighborhood. By printing your invitation on a candy bar, you’ll also get people’s attention and give busy parents something tangible that they can hold onto for a reminder. That’s nice when you need RSVP's and want people to notice special instructions like dressing up in costume.
We’ve got plenty of ideas if you need help designing your chocolate invitations. Just make sure they match your theme whether it’s ballerinas or pirates or something more unusual like Indonesian shadow puppets. You can even add a photo of the birthday boy or girl.
Candy bar wrappers from Sweet Wrappings make delicious favors for any special occasion from birthday parties to weddings. Contact us for friendly customer service that will show you how easy it is to get personalized party favors.

Celebrate Renaissance of the Heart Month with Chocolate Ad Specialties

It is hard to believe that Worldwide Renaissance of the Heart Month is so close at hand. What are you going to do in celebration? If you haven’t got a plan, consider ordering chocolate ad specialties and borrowing one of ours:

Soup & Sweets for the Soul
The month is all about showing compassion for others. So why not make contact with a soup kitchen or charitable organization and host a heart-warming event? Afterwards, you could give the soup kitchen or non-profit’s staff and visitors chocolate ad specialties as a reminder that someone cares about them.
Participate in School Others
Attending local schools and sharing both your knowledge and chocolate ad specialties with the students may also be appreciated. The best way to arrange such a fun, educational event is to contact the institution’s after school program coordinators, teachers, principal or superintendent for guidance.
Help Humankind’s Best Friends
We are sure that animal shelters and animal rescue groups would enjoy being recognized during Worldwide Renaissance of the Heart Month too. So why not help them out by offering to purchase or sell chocolate ad specialties on their behalf? They could then turn around and use the proceeds from the chocolate ad specialties sale to show compassion towards the animal kingdom.
Random Acts of Sweetness
If you don’t have time to host a special event, engaging in random acts of sweetness may suffice. Simply order chocolate ad specialties from us. Then hand them out to unsuspecting people that you catch showing compassion to others throughout the month. We have great Thank You wrappers that would be ideal for such promotions.

Personalized Wrappings Can Make Buying and Selling a Little Sweeter This Valentine's Day

Did you miss out on sharing a little holiday cheer with clients? Well, you are in luck.  Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and so is your chance to hand out unique treats that will leave your name on the tip of their tongues. How about giving out candy to clients that has a personalized touch this year with business specialty candy wrappers?
Personalized wrappings are good for anyone looking to promote their business, including real estate agents and brokers.  If your business involves selling homes, office space, or the land buildings are developed upon, personalized wrappings can make buying and selling a little sweeter. Still not convinced? Here are a couple of additional morsels to tempt your thought buds.

Taste is unforgettable. We delight in what we eat. The appeal of chocolate dates back to centuries ago when the Aztecs looked upon chocolate as a coveted gift that was worthy only for the most esteemed.  Chocolate was so desirable, in fact, that those who gave the gift of chocolate were viewed as wise and the possessor exquisite taste.  When we place a sweet morsel in our mouths and onto our tongues our brains kick into high gear. On a subliminal level the receiver will think of the sweet taste and those pleasant thoughts will become associated to guess who? You! Now that is sweet idea!
Aesthetically appealing visuals make a positive difference. We like things that are attractive. We don’t have to know what is under the hood of a fancy sports car to find it appealing. And if we like what we see, chances are we want to come back for more. Give a client a sweet treat wrapped in a beautiful wrapper baring your company’s logo and contact information. If you want to make an even stronger individualized impression, pass out delicious candy bars featuring a photo of you. You are sure to make a lasting impression!

A great way to say thank you.   Everyone likes to feel appreciated. Especially clients. Whether you have items freely available in a reception area or you personally hand-out a parting gift, receiving a token of appreciation can go a long way in cementing a long-standing business relationship. Happy sharing!
Try business specialty candy wrappers this Valentine’s Day. Contact us for a give-away that will leave a sweet taste in the mouth of your clients.
